Live agent call routing combines the efficiency of AI with human empathy and flexibility — all within your existing AI Receptionist account. At your discretion, qualified callers can be immediately routed to one of Smith.ai’s professional Virtual Receptionists.

Improvements
Streamlined call flow
— We redesigned AI Receptionist’s call flow to improve the caller experience. To reduce redundancy, AI Receptionist now qualifies callers — per your qualification instructions — prior to collecting their contact details. Fixes
- Fixed an issue where AI Receptionist did not consistently announce it was transferring the caller to schedule an appointment. The AI Receptionist now reliably informs callers of intent to transfer for appointment scheduling.
- Fixed an issue with smart team directory transfers where AI Receptionist didn’t clarify which person to transfer to when multiple team members with the same first name exist in the team directory. AI Receptionist now prompts callers to specify the correct person.
- Fixed an issue where AI Receptionist remained in FAQ mode after a caller’s question, treating subsequent interactions in the call as questions. It now exits FAQ mode correctly and continues the normal call flow.
